Ford stored the Escort alive from 1981 with the 2000 model year and lastly took it off from the selection in 2001. Within the 2000 model year, Ford launched the Escort's alternative -- the main focus. The main focus had more contemporary and aggressive styling, using its hard body lines and exaggerated car headlights. In 2005, Ford remodeled the main focus, giving a far more refined look. The 2005 Focus came standard having a passive anti-thievery system (PATS for brief), which used a transponder key to deliver an indication that permitted the vehicle to begin. When obtaining a new key, the key requires programming before it may become functional. The Toyota Transponder Key has two programming processes: one using two pre-designed secrets and the other utilizing an on-board diagnostics II tool.

With Two Designed Secrets

Place the very first designed key within the ignition and switch the key towards the "Run" position for just one second, turn the ignition to the "Off" position and take away the key.

Place the 2nd designed key within five seconds of getting rid of the very first key, and switch the ignition towards the "Run" position. Turn the key towards the "Off" position after one second within the "Run" position and take away the key.

Place the unprogrammed Lexus Transponder Key in to the ignition within ten seconds of getting rid of the 2nd designed key and switch the key towards the "Run" position for just one second. Turn the key towards the "Off" position and take away it.

Place the recently-designed key and try to start the main focus. If it doesn't start, repeat Steps 1 through 3.

Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for just about any additional unprogrammed secrets.

Without Two Designed Secrets

Place the unprogrammed key within the ignition and switch it towards the "Run" position.

Switch on the OBD-II diagnostic oral appliance direct it towards the "Security Access" function. Wait roughly ten minutes using the key within the "Run" position for that OBD-II tool to gain access to the safety system.

Choose "Ignition Key Code Program" in the "Security Access" program. Wait for a OBD-II scanner to verify the programming from the key.

Turn the ignition off and try to start the automobile. When the vehicle doesn't start immediately, take away the Rover Transponder Key and repeat Steps 1 through 3.

Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for just about any other unprogrammed secrets.
