“Why My XTOOL X100 Pad2 Can’t Do BMW Key Programming” – Solution Process

Recently, one customer got his new Key Programmer XTOOL X100 Pad2 but he is sad to find that this pad can’t work! He uses this pad2 to do BMW Key programming but fail. What happen? Let us find out why and solve this problem.

Customer: This weekend I tried a Q7 2006 to diagnose the pneumatic shock absorbers the aircraft supports only 5 marked so Jaguar, land rover, Benz and another brand. And my BMW 3 series E91 for DPF system (the fap) because I have the light FAP lit nothing it does not work.

Today I tried to program a key on a Golf 2000 gasoline and I can not, I try to make a BMW e46 it does not work either. I would like to have the procedure to follow !!! Please, thank you in advance

Engineer suggest customer change the menu from "F chassis and E chassis” to "CAS 1-3”

How to enable IM600/IM608 wireless printing?

Autel scan tools cannot sent files directly to a wireless printer.

Instead, you need to install PC Suite software onto a computer which the scan tool will use as a gateway to print.

Install the Maxi PC Suite from the Autel

Download thew new Maxi PC Suite from Autel official website

Autel Printer App system requirement:

A computer connected to the same network (wired or wireless) as the Autel unit
Win7 Extractor or WinRAR (The Autel file is downloaded in a .ZIP format and must be extracted)
A restart is required after installation

The drivers for the Autel j2534 and PC Link for wireless printing are included in the Maxi PC suite.

Go to Supports & Updates->Firmware & Download-> Update Client-> Download Here

Remove Maxi PC Suite is it is currently installed.
Skip this step if you have latest Maxi PC Suite installed

Install the new Maxi PC Suite software

Make sure the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed

Add exceptions to anti virus

Allow PC Link Program on Windows Firewall

Open PC Link from Maxi PC Suite

Make sure the PC Link is running in the background process

Open MaxiSys Printer

(Verify the Maxi PC suite is running? The easiest way to check the system tray at the bottom right on the task bar for the Maxisys Printer Icon.)

Disable Auto Print

Perform a test print from the Autel IM608

After tapping the print option, you should see the "Creating print file” dialog box.

You may be asked to select a "Printer”, which is simply the name of the computer, if there is more than one computer running the PC Link software. Tap to select a computer destination which will be indicated by the blue check mark. Then press, "OK”

The "Upload file to the printer” dialog box should appear for several seconds, and will disappear when the file is transfer to the computer.

Print confirmed

You should now be able to print any single page or entire report from your Autel diagnostic tools by selecting the print icon in the top right of the Maxi PC Suite pages.

A Beginner’s Guide to OBD Scanners

Modern cars use a computer system called an on-board diagnostic system (OBD). This on-board computer system not only helps to run your vehicle for peak performance, but it can also make decisions about how your car uses various components to run, and lets you know when something is wrong.

When something goes wrong, the OBD will commonly illuminate one of the lights on the dashboard which should alert you to the problem. Once one of the indicator lights illuminates you can use an OBD scanner to help you start to address the issue.

Before the 1990’s OBD’s were not standard for all cars, and you would need the specific scanner for the type of car that you had. When the OBD was standardized, it made car maintenance significantly more accessible, and owners were empowered to address vehicle issues on their own.

In 1996, the EPA dictated that all cars must adhere to obd2 scan tool and meet a certain number of minimum standards. Not only did this mean that car owners could now use one code reader for all cars, but it also meant that they could get more detailed information and access to less expensive code readers.

Current code readers should be able to read error or trouble codes for all makes and models of cars, but cheaper models or knock-offs may be behind the times. Vehicles of a certain make tend to share the same error codes with future models, and OBD II scanners should be used for several years.

What Is an OBD Scanner?

Whether your car is relatively new, or several years old, an OBD scanner is a helpful tool that can help diagnose problems with your vehicle and save you time. An OBD scanner is a device that connects to your car and scans your vehicle’s’ computer to retrieve the code that corresponds to the problem at hand.

An OBD scanner can tell you why your check engine light is on, or why other indicator lights are illuminated. The device can also clear these errors from your vehicle once the issue has been corrected and can help you fix simple vehicle issues by yourself.

How to cut new 2016 yaris blade with sec-e9 or Xhorse condor

(Quoted) a 2016 yaris all key lost, I manage to unlock it with va6 lishi and read the barrel but i can’t turn the ignition with va6 lishi. then I bought va8 lishi and voila you can pick and read the ignition. I have sec-e9 cutting machine and I can’t cut the blade.
the only option is 2016 corolla in SEC-E9 Key Cutting Machine…..8 wqafers depths 1, 2, 3, 4, but I still can’t cut the blade because what I read from the va8 lishi doesn’t match.

Finally, used silca futura machine to cut the blade, the job is done now. but it will be difficult for me to call my buddy just to cut the blade every time. The silca futura is bloody expensive. The next parts answer a question: how to cut this new blade with sec-e9 or other machine?

When the va6 and the va8 tools were made there was no specific reference for these , all 3 use the same VA2 keyblade .

yes the va8 is for the 1234Q5678H series with 8 cuts , it will also do the daf cf series 7 cut lock as well , it will also do the VA6 6 cut models though will be sloppy decode due to extension .

the question was what key blade as va8 not listed in silca which it wont be as a lishi reference not a key blank reference , the blade is va2 all are listed under VA2 in instacode ;

H & Q have no meaning to you if reading lock with a lishi tool , they are values that are used in the dealer code under certain conditions .

when 2 x 4 cuts sit next door to each other they change them to QQ , 2 x 8 cuts sat next door to each other change to HH , a 4 cut and an 8 cut sat next door to each other change to Q and H .

so if you read a lock as 673784 , the manufacturers code would read QH7376 , if entering direct cuts you reverse this to 6737HQ or 673784 both cut the same key

so you can enter Q or 4 and you can enter 8 or H it will still cut the same

Porsche PIWIS II 2 Perform a Forced PDK Update for Porsche

How to Install/Restore Porsche PIWIS 18.100 Universal Image

A forced PDK update is required when a vehicle possesses the Q033 ROM and an open campaign update is not visible via the PIWIS tool. This procedure will update the PDK to a Q061 or newer ROM. This update is required to run the latest PDK OTS maps with custom features such as faster shift speeds, sequential shifter stalk, dual paddle to neutral, no kickdown, and no creep. These features would otherwise not be possible running the Q033 ROM.

Applicable Model/Year

2013-2016 Porsche 981 Cayman and Boxster (Base, S, GTS) w/ PDK Transmission

2012-2016 Porsche 911.1 NA Carrera (Base, S, GTS) w/ PDK Transmission

2014-2016 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S w/ PDK Transmission

Note: The update process does take some time (30 to 45 minutes), so it is important to have a battery charger (10A to 12A recommended, or a charger with a "flash” setting will work) on the car’s battery during this process. It would also be a good idea to keep a charger on the PIWIS II computer as well.

NOTE: BEFORE PROCEEDING, ACCESSPORT MUST BE UNINSTALLED FROM VEHICLE.

Porsche PIWIS 2 Forced PDK Update Procedures:

1.Connect a battery charger to the car’s battery, put the key in the "ON” position (engine off), and turn on the PIWIS II tool. The PIWIS II will need to be connected to the OBD II port at his point as well.
2.At the main menu on the PIWIS II, select DIAGNOSTICS >> 911 >>> 991. Your selection may vary if you have a Boxster/Cayman.

3.At this point, the PIWIS II will load up the software and prompt you to a new menu.

4.Select the "Transmission Control” unit control. After this is selected, scroll to the right on the top overview bar and select "Programming”.
You can now select "Automatic Programming” and hit the "Next” button on the bottom right of PIWIS II.

5.From here, Unit Documentation and the update will begin, several prompts regarding battery charger use and ignition on will appear. Continue to press the "Next” button on the bottom right to move forward with the process. You can keep an eye on the progress bar on the bottom and Steps listed at the top. Keep an eye on the PIWIS II for any ignition off sequences or need to press the "Next” button.

6.When you finish the final step, step 12, an information prompt will appear. Hit "Next” to be shown success programming.

7.And that’s it, you’re done! This would be a good time to check for any transmission fault codes and clear them if they are present. You can confirm you are on the latest Q061 ROM by selecting the "Transmission Control” function on the main menu and selecting "Extended Identifications” on the top scroller bar.

Cummins Incal file can’t work? Just Change the Date!

Here’s the working solution to Cummins Incal file not working problem.

 

No need for date changing tools if your Cummins Incal file doesn’t work. Just simply open your Incal folder–>intelect–>esdn and you should find your esdninfo.dat file.

 

RIGHT click on the file and open with NOTEPAD. This file was date changed with the date change tool to Jan 1 2019. What you should see is something like this….

Requiredbytes = 100000000

Date=19001

 

This file was date changed to Sept 7 2019 and it looks like this…….

[Information]

Requiredbytes = 100000000

Date=19250

 

Date reflects the start date of the file. First 2 numbers represent the year 19 (2019)

The last three represent the day in a 365 day calendar. 7thSep is the 250 day of the year.

THUS…. 19250 = 7thSep 2019

 

Now because the Cummins Incals are only good for 60 days, once you copy your files into the Calibration Workspace folder and open your Cummins Insite, the cal will come up with a date of OCT which is the following month that it expires.

 

Hope this helps you guys that dont have a date change tool, are out on a call or don’t have the patients to wait for a 32GB Incal folder to change the date.

How to install DRB3 emulator for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge from 1998 to 2007 year?

Here are steps to install DRB3 emulator for Chrysler diagnosis and programming.

DRB III Emulator definition:

DRB III Emulator is the exact scan tool software application used in Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge dealerships to service non-CAN based vehicles from 1998-2007.

 

Installation Notes:

In order to install the Enhanced DRB III Emulator, you must have the wiTECH Diagnostic Application (wiTECH 1.0) installed as well as all supporting software.

 

The wiTECH 1.0 can be downloaded and installed on a Windows PC from DealerCONNECT (DealerCONNECT > Service > wiTECH Information (Under the SERVICE TOOLS & EQUIPMENT section) > Legacy Tools > wiTECH Software Installer).

 

In order to install DRB III Enhanced Emulator you must have a microPod II Device that has Entitlements for the Enhanced version. This is different that those for the wiTECH Diagnostic Application (wiTECH 1.0) or the Original DRB III Emulator. This microPod II Device will only work with the wiTECH Diagnostic Application (wiTECH 1.0) and Enhanced DRB III Emulator.

 

Steps to DRB3 Emulator on Win7/Win10:

1. Connect the microPod II device that will be used with Enhanced DRB III Emulator to a Windows computer that has the wiTECH Diagnostic Application (wiTECH 1.0) either through the USB-microUSB cable or by plugging the microPod II device into a vehicle’s OBDII port and having both the Micropod II device and the computer on the same wireless network.

5. Once the device is found in the connection wizard, click on the name.

 

6. Clicking on the name will cause the "Launch DRB III Enhanced” button to appear to the left of the "Next” button in the bottom right corner.

 

7. If the button appears with "Launch DRB III” with no "Enhanced”, you will need to contact the Help Desk to get the Enhanced entitlements added.

8. Click the "Launch DRB III Enhanced” button and accept the EULA that is presented. A warning will be presented indicating that Enhanced DRB III Emulator is not installed. Press "OK” to start the installation process.

9. The wiTECH Diagnostic Application (wiTECH 1.0) will now close and the "Enhanced DRB III Emulator Stub” will begin to install. Follow through any dialog prompts to continue the installation.

10.With the "Enhanced DRB III Emulator Stub” installed, select the check box for "Enhanced DRB III Emulator Application vx.xx.xxxx” and click the "Install” button in the bottom right corner of the window.

11.Follow through any dialog prompts to complete installation. Once installation has completed, open the wiTECH Diagnostic Application and select the microPOD II device using the Connection Wizard. Click the "Launch DRB III Enhanced” to open the Enhanced DRB III Emulator. The emulator will appear as shown below if you are connected to a vehicle.

Note: You must be connected to a vehicle in order to launch the DRB III Enhanced Emulator.
